A LEGACY OF GREAT LIVING

With a long history in building, J.F. Shea Co., Inc., parent company of Shea Homes, is one of the oldest and largest privately held builders in the country and has garnered the respect of both builders and buyers across the United States. J.F. Shea Co., Inc., was established in the 1880s and has participated in some of the country’s most historical building projects, including work on the Hoover Dam, Golden Gate Bridge, and numerous tunnels around the world.

Shea Homes had its beginnings in 1968 and now builds homes and develops master-planned communities in Colorado, California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida and North Carolina. Building on its reputation of quality, service, innovation, and efficiency, Shea Homes is developing and constructing some of the finest communities and homes in America. With its purchase in 1997 of the 22,000-acre master-planned community of Highlands Ranch — and now with Reunion — Shea Homes has dedicated itself to creating communities where people can live, work, and play. In 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 Shea’s Colorado division was ranked highest in customer satisfaction among Denver homebuilders by J.D. Power and Associates. The National Association of HomeBuilders and Builder Magazine presented Shea Homes with the 2005 America’s Best Builders Award. The Colorado division is the proud winner of Professional Builder magazine’s 2002 National Housing Quality Award.

Built on a solid foundation, Shea Homes continues to be guided by the ethics and principles established by the Shea family more than 120 years ago.
