Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer – with your Dog!

Dog owners love being around their furry buddies every chance they get. And while spending time with Fido in the mountains is a no-brainer, sometimes you just want to hang out with your pup somewhere locally after a big hike, or meet up with your other friends and their dogs for a beverage.
We’ve compiled a list of a few of Reunion’s favorite doggie-friendly destinations for you.
Watering Bowl
Dubbed “Your Best Friend’s Bar,” this place has taken their love for dogs to a whole new level. The family-friendly tavern also caters to four-legged family members with a 7,000 square-foot, fully-fenced dog park. In addition to the dog park, you’ll also find a huge selection of domestic beers, craft beers, and two dog-friendly patios.
Racines
This popular dining destination is also pooch-friendly on the patio! Centrally located, Racine’s is on the way to many Denver attractions and amenities. You can join your friends and the after-theater crowd for urban people- and puppy-watching along Sherman Street.
Denver Beer Co.
Many breweries have patios that allow dogs, and Denver Beer Co. is one of the more popular dog-friendly destinations. Located in an old car garage, the big doors are always open on warm days, giving the whole location an open-air feel. The patio is a German-style beer garden with plenty of tables and sunshine to go around.

88 Drive-In Theater
Imagine taking your furry friend to see a movie! Especially at the last remaining drive-in theater in the Denver metro area. Open 7 days a week, rain or shine, this theater encourages fun times for all. Take note that your dog needs to be leashed when outside your vehicle and you’ll need to clean up after your pet – extra bags are available at the snack bar.
Sand Creek Regional Greenway
Take your dog on a really long walk (or run) on this 14-mile trail that connects Commerce City to Stapleton to Aurora. Open every day from dawn to dusk, this trail is open to bikers, horseback riders, and runners and hikers. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed! We’re pretty sure you don’t want your pup getting up-close and personal with the porcupines and skunks along the trail.
