Don’t hide from the July heat – relish it!

July is always regarded as one of the hottest months of the year. Ironic, really, since this is the month Earth enters aphelion, the point in the orbit farthest from the sun. 94,507,885 miles, to be exact. But it sure doesn’t feel like we’re that far away, does it?

Well, they say if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. And that’s our attitude with the summer heat. Don’t beat it – join it! Come down and cool off at the Rec Center pool at Reunion, or just grab your family or friends and hit any of these outdoor events going on this month. Just drink plenty of water and always wear your sunscreen!
