Party it up (with the entire family) for St. Patrick’s Day!
March 17 is coming up, and maybe this year you don’t feel like dealing with the traffic for the downtown Denver festivities or your neighbor’s party isn’t going to be kid-friendly. So why not stay at home and host your own family St. Paddy’s Day celebration?
With a little green, a little creativity, and a nod to the leprechauns, you can put together your own Irish celebration, minus the crowds.
Leprechaun Hat S’mores
Speaking of leprechauns, here is a delicious treat that’s easy to make with this tutorial video. Kids will have fun putting these together, so invite their friends to come over and make it a group project.

Shamrock Eraser-Stamped T-Shirt
No fancy cutting machines or vinyl required! This stencil shirt only requires freezer paper, a clover pattern, fabric paint, and a pencil with an unused eraser.
You can make St. Paddy’s Day a spa day with this Irish Cream exfoliating scrub. Then follow it up with a green avocado face mask, and then paint your fingernails and toenails a beautiful shade of kelly green!
DIY Shamrock Shake
Why drive to the nearest fast food joint for a Shamrock shake when you can make it at home? Don’t forget the whipped cream topping!
Everyone associates potatoes with Ireland, so this is the holiday to bring this game back. We’ve found new twists on the classic spud toss. Grab a potato and go!
Hopefully, these ideas will spark some luck o’ the Irish for you and your family. For more inspiration, check out this Pinterest board of St. Patrick’s Day suggestions. And don’t forget to send us photos of your celebration – we’d love to see them!
