Have you ever tried to identify the birds in your backyard or been curious about the popular hobby of bird watching? Let birding expert Norm Lewis help you get started with all the basics. Learn about birding optics, field guides, clothing and gear, basic bird families, and field identification techniques. Thursday, February 7, 7pm-10pm, Children’s Museum

Release your inner child! This adults-only extravaganza features local craft beer, light appetizers, lively music, and — best of all — a chance to explore and play in the world-class exhibits at the Children’s Museum. Go be a kid again without the kids! Get tickets.


Saturday, February 9, 10am-4pm, Denver Firefighters Museum

Do you have any young children dreaming of becoming a firefighter? Or are you fascinated with the work of firefighters? Learn more about fire safety and the history of firefighting in Denver from its inception to the present at the Denver Firefighters Museum.


Tuesday, February 19, 9am-10am, Wings Over the Rockies

This science education program for children 2-4 years of age will explore what it means to be a scientist! Kids (with adult accompaniment) will learn about Ada Twist, create moon sand, and then get to bring a jar of it home. Learn more.
