Guest Room Glam: Tips for Hosting Holiday Houseguests
Posted on 30 Nov 2021
After all of the decorating is done, the spiced wine simmered, and the presents wrapped, we’re ready to host the people we love in our beautiful Reunion homes. With friends and family coming from near and far, chances are you’ll be hosting an overnight guest or two. Take a peek at a few tips to make their stay extra special.
Lamplighting
Whether you’re hosting bookworms or techies, the right amount of light in a room is a must. Providing lamps on either side of the guest bed allows each person to monitor the amount of light needed for checking phones or nighttime bullet journaling. (Make sure there’s a night light in the guest bathroom, as well!)
Stock the Bathroom
Even the most luxurious guest baths can be difficult to appreciate if we discover we’ve forgotten an item or two. If you have essential toiletries — soap, shampoo, conditioner, plus extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, and even cotton balls and swabs, your guests will feel the glow of your thoughtful hospitality. Remember to set out additional towels and washcloths, just in case.
Regulate Temperature
Reunion homes have state-of-the-art heating and cooling, but sometimes, the difference comes down to personal preference and what our guests find most comfortable. Some of us are hot-blooded, while others are cold even in full sunshine. Ease the situation by having a number of throw blankets on hand. They add a pop of color while fulfilling the important function of making your guests cozy.
The holidays are ultimately about spending time with the people we hold most dear, celebrating together in our forever homes. Call us today to find your dream home here at Reunion.
