Around Denver and right here at Reunion in Commerce City, the end of the year fills up with lights, markets, music, and little traditions that bring people together long before the calendar flips to 2026.

Blossoms of Light
When: Nov. 21, 2025 – Jan. 11, 2026
Where: Denver Botanic Gardens
Drive from Reunion: 35 minutes
Once the Botanic Gardens light up for the season, it officially feels like the holidays. Blossoms of Light is stunning at every turn, and it’s an entire walk-through experience. Colorful tunnels, glowing trees, unexpected displays, and a calm, peaceful mile-long winter-wonderland path that somehow makes the rest of the world slow down for an hour. It’s a longtime Denver favorite for good reason.
Trail of Lights
When: Nov. 21, 2025 – Jan. 11, 2026
Where: Chatfield Farms, 8500 W Deer Creek Canyon Road, Littleton, CO
Drive from Reunion: 45 minutes
Trail of Lights feels different from city displays: more relaxed, more open, and surrounded by the foothills. The path winds past barns, evergreens, old homesteads, and open spaces wrapped in LEDs. Kids naturally love it, but so do adults — the peaceful atmosphere makes you want to linger.

THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride
When: Select nights, Nov. 7 – Dec. 23
Where: Colorado Railroad Museum
Drive from Reunion: 30 minutes
If you’re looking for a core memory moment, this is it. THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride combines live theater, music, hot chocolate, cookie crumbs, and a real steam train headed toward a glowing “North Pole.” Little ones practically vibrate with excitement, and grown-ups usually walk away a little misty-eyed.

Denver Christkindlmarket – 25th Anniversary
When: Nov. 21 – Dec. 23
Where: Auraria Campus, Tivoli Quad 1000 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80204
Drive from Reunion: 30 minutes
This year marks 25 years of Denver’s most charming market, now set at the Tivoli Quad. It brings the old-world spirit to life with wooden Bavarian vendor huts, handcrafted ornaments, German pastries, steaming mugs of Glühwein (heated and spiced “glow wine”), holiday music, and a crowd bundled up and smiling. The anniversary brings new workshops and special touches scattered throughout the market.

Winter Wanderland
When: Nov. 20 – Dec. 24
Where: Cherry Creek Shopping Center
Drive from Reunion: 35 minutes
Cherry Creek North goes big. A million lights drape over more than 600 trees as the neighborhood fills with events, live entertainment, and the Cherry Creek Holiday Market. Highlight events include a Chanukah celebration on December 14, and the Mistletoe Lounge — a pop-up bar that feels like stepping into a glittering snow globe.

Magical Winter Nights
When: Nov. 20, 2025 – Jan. 4, 2026 | 21+ Nights: Dec. 4, Dec. 11, Dec. 18
Where: Denver Museum of Nature & Science
Drive from Reunion: 30 minutes
During the holiday season, the museum transforms into an imaginative winter experience, blending lights, soundscapes, and interactive moments tucked into familiar exhibits. It’s part art installation, part adventure, and a fun pick for families with kids who like to explore.

Commerce City Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting
When: Dec. 3 from 5pm – 7pm
Where: Commerce City Civic Center
Drive from Reunion: 15 minutes
Commerce City kicks off the season with a tree lighting ceremony, the grand opening of the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, carriage rides, hot chocolate, live music, reindeer visits, Santa, and a cozy Merry Market. It’s festive, easy to access, and close enough for a quick after-school outing.

Holiday Happenings – Reunion
When: Dec. 7 from 9:30am – 11:30am
Where: Reunion Rec Center
A favorite every year. Families gather for crafts, carriage rides, Santa visits, and plenty of picture-perfect moments. It’s one of those events where you run into neighbors you haven’t seen in a while and instantly feel the warmth of the season all over again.
