July is just a one-month-long celebration

Everyone associates July with that star-spangled, fireworks-shootin’ holiday, but were you aware that July is FULL of other awesome reasons to celebrate? For instance, July 1 is “International Chicken Wing Day,” and July 14 is “Pandemonium Day,” where you’re encouraged to let loose and stray from your regular routine. If you survive the 14th, the following day is “I Love Horses Day” (go hug a horse!) and then the 20th is our all-time favorite holiday, “National Nap Day.”

No matter which holidays you choose to enjoy, Reunion has a calendar full of fun events and activities to keep you in a celebratory mood all month. Here are a few:

You won’t have to stray far from home to enjoy the events we have lined up for our residents. Our Food Truck Tuesday is back on July 9 at the Rec Center — and we’re holding another Hot Dog Days of Summer on the 18th. Don’t forget to join your family and friends for Movie Night on the 26th! CHERRY CREEK ARTS FESTIVAL
July 5-7, 10am-8pm, Cherry Creek Shopping District

This arts festival is a weekend-long event featuring world-class and award-winning visual, culinary, and performing arts. More than 350,000 visitors attend this three-day event every year. You’ll have opportunities to interact with international juried visual artists, sample fine cuisine, enjoy live musical performances, and entertain yourself with interactive “ARTivities.”
 

COLORADO RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
Saturday and Sunday, July 6-28, 10am-6:30pm, Larkspur, CO

This festival will take you on a magical tour through time and legend. Revel with fellow medieval enthusiasts, watch artisans create original works using ancient craft techniques, and take in the tantalizing aroma of roasted turkey legs. A cast of hundreds of authentically costumed merrymakers performs throughout the village and upon its seven stages. Learn more.
 

BIKE BRIGHTON RIDES
Monday, July 15, 6:30pm, Benedict Park

Anyone who loves having fun while bicycling with a group can show up for this free event, from families to couples and more. This 6- to 9-mile ride begins and ends at Benedict Park at the Emi Chikuma Plaza. We recommend bringing a helmet, water, bug spray, and lights for this ride.
 

CULTURAL COUNCIL
Thursday, July 25th, 6-8pm, Commerce City Civic Center

Bring your picnic baskets and blankets out to this free concert series at the Commerce City Civic Center. The performer for July’s event is local artist Rudy Bustos, and the festivities will be presented in partnership with the 2nd Annual Police and Fire Open House.
