UPDATE ON THE REUNION POOLS

As additional lifeguards have been hired by our operations contractor (YMCA), beginning Monday, July 12, both pools will be open each day.  Hours at each location will continue to be 12-530pm.  We also need to continue with limited capacities and ask all residents to limit their pool visits to two hours so all have a chance to enjoy.

6/10/21-UPDATED REC CENTER POOL AND SOUTHLAWN POOL INFORMATION

Dear Reunion Residents –

*****Beginning Sunday, June 13, RESERVATIONS WILL NO LONGER BE REQUIRED.*****  HOWEVER, EACH POOL VISIT IS LIMITED TO 2 HOURS!

As you may know, due to a lifeguard shortage (in the Reunion Community and throughout the Metro Area) the pools currently have limited access. As we continue to work through what we hope is a short-lived challenge, pool hours will continue to be 12-530pm.  We will continue to be limited to operate one pool per day.  Southlawn Pool will continue to be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  The Recreation Center will continue to be open Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Recreation Center will be limited to 75 swimmers in the water; Southlawn, 50 swimmers in the water. We ask each family consist of 6 or fewer people. Please note no guests will be permitted until pool capacity is increased.

In the event that we meet our lifeguard to swimmer ratios (1:25), we will take 10 minute breaks every 50 minutes to give the guards a break to refresh, similar to 2019.

As more guards become hired, it is our hope that we can open both pools and increase the operating hours. We are actively working with the YMCA to address this situation and will keep you apprised as things change.

We certainly appreciate your continued support and understanding through this process.

Effective Monday, May 17, The Reunion Recreation Center will operate at level CLEAR per the Tri County Health Order.  This means that the Center can operate at 100% capacity.  Level CLEAR will enter into a 90-day Observation Period.  The Tri County Health Department will re-access this level and make necessary changes, if needed, after the Observation Period.  In addition, although facemasks are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED, per the State and Governor’s Order, those that are fully vaccinated, do not need to wear face coverings in all public indoor settings.  Those that are not fully vaccinated should continue to wear a mask.  We’ll continue to monitor and provide updates from our local health officials.

Everywhere you look, authenticity breathes throughout this community. The sapphire lakes flanked by willows waving in the wind. The spacious bright-green parks. For more than 15 years of a growing heritage, Reunion is this shining jewel of a community we proudly call home as Commerce City writes their next story of progress and prosperity. It is here kids grow up together, small businesses support one another, and families turn moments into memories. This is where the term neighborhood finds its definition in the dictionary.
