Spice Things Up with Autumn Activities

Free Day at the Denver Firefighters Museum
October 8, 10am – 4pm, Denver Firefighters Museum

If your kiddos are obsessed with fire trucks, this museum is a must-see — especially for residents of Adams County, who can enjoy a free day this October. Discover the history of firefighting and fire safety in the original Station One! The current exhibit, Art at the Fire Station, showcases artwork by firefighters across Colorado.

Golden Beer Chili Cook-Off
October 12, 1-4pm, Parfet Park

Skip the pumpkin pies and satisfy your chili craving instead! If you have a prized family recipe, consider entering the hot competition for best bowl. Otherwise, you can chow down on endless chili while enjoying local beer and live music. This event benefits the Golden Chamber of Commerce and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Boo at the Zoo
October 19, 20, 26, 27 9am-5pm, Denver Zoo

You won’t want to miss Boo at the Zoo with your lil’ monsters! For two weekends only, join the creatures of the zoo for an afternoon of trick-or-treating, exciting entertainment including jugglers, and animal performances.

Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze
Daily, September 25-November 3

Celebrate everything Halloween by exploring Anderson Farms. This massive estate is filled to the brim with fall festivities including a pumpkin patch, private campfire spots, and a corn maze. Each weekend has unique activities like a pumpkin cannon, wagon rides, zombie paintball, and — of course — plenty of hot chocolate.

Trunk or Treat
Saturday October 27, 5pm-7pm, Reunion Rec Center Parking Lot

No October is complete without the Reunion Trunk or Treat! Relish the cooler weather with fire trucks, police cars, delicious food, masterfully-decorated vehicles, and the chance to climb into a monster truck. Thank you to our sponsor Landing Place Church for providing pallets of candy!

Be-leaf us, the cooler weather isn’t so bad if you surround yourself with your friends at Reunion! If you attend any of these autumn events, please take pictures and tag @reunionco on Instagram — we love seeing our residents go on adventures.
