Lucky for you, Reunion is in an ideal location that’s as close to our state’s outdoor beauty as it is to indoor entertainment. ROCKY MOUNTAIN ARSENAL

Did you know how close you are to one of the largest urban wildlife refuges in the nation? The Rocky Mountain Arsenal is a 15,000-acre expanse of prairie, wetland, and woodland habitat. Originally established to help protect our national symbol, the bald eagle, the arsenal offers many leisurely hiking trails where you can observe more than 330 species of wildlife in action. It’s a perfect destination for a spring stroll with the family.

FORNEY MUSEUM

Surprise the history buff in your family with a trip to the Forney Museum of Transportation. This museum has a one-of-a-kind collection featuring more than 600 artifacts relating to historical modes of transportation — including cars, buggies, motorcycles, steam locomotives, aircraft, carriages, rail equipment, bicycles, and even vintage apparel! BARR LAKE STATE PARK

7 days a week, 5am-10pm, 13401 Picadilly Road

You’ll find a little something for every outdoor enthusiast here, from kayaking and fishing to horseback riding and birdwatching. Visitors of all ages can enjoy the level 8.8-mile multi-use trail that circles the lake — and the Nature Center employees can answer any questions you have about the wildlife.

BUFFALO RUN GOLF COURSE

Ready for a tee time? This gorgeous golf course is just a stroke away and features lush greens, expansive fairways, and picturesque views of the Rocky Mountains.
